Here for the Journey

A few years later, persistent hip pain brought me back. This time, I wanted more than relief—I wanted to understand why. A chiropractor listened, advocated for me, and ultimately helped me get the answers I needed. That experience shaped the kind of provider I wanted to become: one who listens first, asks why, and knows that sometimes the best care means helping you find the right care—even when it isn't me.

“At first, I just wanted my back to stop hurting. What I didn't expect was how different I would feel afterward—lighter, stronger, and more capable. I felt like the best version of myself, on duty and off.”  - Dr. Nicole, DC, IBCLC

I didn't grow up in a chiropractic family. I didn't even know much about chiropractic until my early twenties, fresh out of military basic training and dealing with a back that was feeling every bit of it.

I didn't just want relief. I wanted answers.

It started with me

I went into chiropractic thinking sports, movement, and rehab were my future. Then I started caring for pregnant women, postpartum moms, and babies—and, well... plans changed. I fell in love with the birth stories, meeting the babies I'd heard about for months, celebrating the wins, and being there for all the “wait, is this normal?” moments in between.

But I quickly realized an adjustment was only one piece of the picture. Moms wanted to move comfortably through pregnancy, feel strong again postpartum, and navigate feeding with a little more confidence and a lot less overwhelm. So I took what I already loved about movement and rehab, expanded my education into lactation, and started connecting the pieces: chiropractic, feeding support, and functional movement.

That's how NurtureCo. came to be—a place where we have time to listen, connect the dots, and give you more than a quick fix. Because the goal isn't to keep you coming forever. It's to help you feel informed, supported, and capable in your body, with your baby, and through whatever season comes next.

Care Beyond an Adjustment.

Move with confidence. Whether you're navigating pregnancy, rebuilding postpartum, helping your baby move comfortably, or getting back to the things you love, we meet you where you are and help you feel capable in your body again.

Thrive on your terms. Ask the questions. Understand the why. Know your options. We're here to give you the knowledge, tools, and support to make confident decisions for yourself and your family.

HERE YOU WILL:

At NurtureCo. we  listen, help you make sense of what's going on, and give you the tools to move forward with confidence.

READY WHEN YOU ARE

Hi, I’m Dr. Nicole—chiropractor, IBCLC, movement nerd, and self-proclaimed 'Chiro Breastie'. I graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2023 with my Doctor of Chiropractic degree and an emphasis in sports and rehabilitation, fully convinced that sports and rehab were where my career was headed. Then I started caring for pregnant women, postpartum moms, and babies—and, well... plans changed. I fell in love with supporting women through pregnancy, hearing their birth stories, meeting the babies I’d heard about for months, and being there for all of the *“wait... is this normal?”* moments that come with growing a family. That passion led me to continue my education in perinatal care, become Webster Certified through the ICPA, and continue working toward advanced perinatal certification.

The more moms and babies I cared for, though, the more I realized chiropractic was only one piece of the picture. I wanted to understand more than how a baby’s movement and function fit into the equation—I wanted the education and clinical training to understand and support the whole feeding relationship. So I took my education one step further and, in 2025, became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). That also happened to be the same year I became a mom, which gave me a whole new appreciation for this work. Pregnancy, postpartum recovery, feeding, movement, sleepless nights, and the approximately one million “is this normal?” questions weren’t things I only understood through education and my patients’ experiences anymore. I was living them, too.

Today, I get to bring everything I love together at NurtureCo.—chiropractic, perinatal care, lactation, and functional movement. To me, they aren’t separate pieces. How you move, how you recover, how your baby moves and feeds, and how you feel through all of it are connected. My approach is pretty simple: listen first, look at the whole picture, explain the why, and make sure you feel like an active part of your own care. I’m not interested in creating a cold, clinical experience where you’re simply the next appointment on my schedule. I want you to feel heard, comfortable asking questions, and confident that the person caring for you actually cares about you.

And when I’m not at NurtureCo., I’m a wife to Cameron, mama to my beautiful, Camila, and dog mom to Milan, our miniature dachshund. I’m half Puerto Rican, half Dominican, proudly bilingual, a homebody at heart, and happiest with good food, family, a video game, anime or a good series, a book or podcast, and probably a LEGO set somewhere nearby. I’m emotional, I laugh a lot, I’ll probably tear up hearing your birth story, celebrate the feeding win that felt huge, and remember the little thing you told me three appointments ago. I’ll bring the knowledge, training, and clinical experience—but I’ll always bring Nicole, too. Because I believe really good care can be evidence-informed and knowledgeable while still feeling warm, personal, and completely human.

Because you deserve to know who's holding space for you.
